Role: Lead Residential Coordinator (Reports To Director)

Key Responsibilities:

Oversight of residents, Residential Coordinators, and all personnel:

  • Supervise house management personnel in relation to their integration with resident sponsors, significant others, and families concerning recovery and house-related matters.

Evaluate prospective resident inquiries and, in collaboration with the Director, determine their suitability for admission.

Administer policies and procedures affecting staff and residents in conjunction with the Director.

Facilitate the training of new personnel and provide ongoing mentorship, performance monitoring, and participation in annual staff evaluations alongside the Director.

Address staff-related issues as necessary, employing appropriate techniques; collaborate with the Director to implement legally sound procedures for staff release when required.

Identify and assess potential risks to the organization’s residents, staff, property, finances, reputation, and image, and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.

  • Conduct Morning Check-Ins, Family Peer Meetings, Weekly House Peer Meetings, Dinners, and other Peer Meetings as directed by the Director.
  • Coordinate residents' external activities with the Assistant Residential Coordinator.
  • Foster and sustain a supportive community culture among residents and alumni under the Director's guidance, promoting a collaborative living environment based on the 12-Steps, house phase-up structure, and alumni peer mentoring.

Manage house maintenance in collaboration with the Assistant Residential Coordinator, including:

  • Engagement with House Maintenance Vendors (Repairs, HVAC, Electrical, Landscaping, etc.).

Administrative Duties and Budget Management:

  • Maintain office organization and oversee office supply procurement.
  • Facilitate the shipping and receiving of necessary items for the house, reporting to the Director.
  • Execute weekly house purchases as directed by the Director.
  • Monitor monthly grocery and supply expenditures with assistance from the Assistant Residential Coordinator.

House Structure and Consultation:

  • Oversee the implementation of the established house structure in collaboration with co-workers, residents, and the alumni community, reporting any issues to the Director.

Communicate any concerns and suggestions for operational improvements to the Director for consideration.

  • Seek guidance and meet with the Director weekly to discuss structural, philosophical, and clinical matters.
  • Maintain documentation related to house structure and operations as required under the Director's supervision.
  • Send daily updates to the management group regarding morning check-ins, dinners, and peer mentoring meetings.
