Role Summary: The Lead Coordinator for Residential Life plays a pivotal role in fostering and sustaining a nurturing communal living atmosphere among the residents of Harvest Home. This position is tasked with orchestrating a positive residential experience that aligns with the residents' program objectives. Key responsibilities encompass managing the staff schedule, providing onsite leadership and guidance to the Residential Life Coordinators and Overnight Assistants, and facilitating daily evening activities, including chores, meals, policy enforcement, classes, and independent living skills. Additionally, the Lead Coordinator is expected to be available on call via phone for two weekends each month.

Compensation: $24-$25 per hour

Core Responsibilities:

  • Establish and exemplify a welcoming, structured, and secure home environment that encourages engagement and ownership.
  • Oversee a team of shift members, providing constructive feedback and managing performance evaluations.
  • Manage household operations, including the oversight of supplies and schedules.
  • Plan and execute events such as Home Gatherings and Girls Nights.
  • Engage in crisis prevention and intervention strategies.
  • Assist in the smooth transition of new residents into the home.
  • Build relationships with residents from diverse backgrounds.
  • Communicate effectively with all teams within Harvest Home.

Essential Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in the social services sector.
  • Proven experience in supervising residential or nonprofit staff.
  • Training in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
  • High emotional intelligence to cultivate relationships with residents.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Alignment with the ministry standards of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and chat tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with high-risk populations, including women, pregnancy, trauma, mental health, and related fields.
  • Previous experience in a shelter or residential treatment setting.

Additional Requirements (Post-Offer):

  • Smartphone is required.
  • California Driver's License and personal vehicle for resident transportation.
  • Completion of a criminal background check and TB clearance.
  • Adherence to COVID safety protocols.
