Job Summary

The Supply Chain Inventory/Purchasing Manager is responsible for managing inventory and over-the-counter products. This role maintains communication with sales teams, clients, distributors, and suppliers to negotiate and renew contracts. The manager also oversees data entry activities and ensures the integrity of databases, including products, suppliers, and pricing lists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead supply chain, warehouse, and sorting teams.
  • Support the implementation of new products, strategic projects, manufacturing excellence initiatives, and material transitions.
  • Interact with sourcing RFQs for supplier selections and cost impacts. Accountable for PPV projects.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of systems master data and materials inventories.
  • Analyze demand, supply, capacities, and data sets.
  • Create and maintain documented processes for all key operational tasks for planning, procurement, sorting, and warehouse operation activities, including leadership standard work for the leadership team.
  • Coordinate with Global Transportation for optimized freight modalities for best price.
  • Ensure scheduling is planned to meet net requirements, utilize capacities, and optimize for process efficiency.
  • Identify, develop, and implement administrative and operational improvements to drive documented, standardized methodologies while eliminating non-value-added activities.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to increase production, eliminate waste/non-value-added activities, and create efficient operations.
  • Implement cross-training to ensure continuity of operations for all key functions/tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Technical ERP system knowledge and skills.
  • Provide accurate forecasts to functional groups for expected production, PPV impacts, and freight/collection costs.
  • Skilled in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Attend required Supply Planning and Category Operating Unit calls.
  • Responsible for employee development, including training, coaching, counseling, and performance appraisals.
Qualifications
  • 8-12 years of experience, preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
