Position Overview: Preschool Center Director

As a Center Director at The Learning Experience, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of both children and educators. Your leadership will foster a collaborative and supportive atmosphere, enabling everyone to flourish.

Leadership Responsibilities
  • Identifies, schedules, and interviews potential teaching candidates; cultivates networks for future talent.
  • Conducts classroom observations and evaluations, providing constructive feedback that inspires growth.
  • Oversees the implementation of the curriculum in accordance with brand standards.
  • Utilizes a growth mindset to mentor and develop staff for future success.
  • Actively listens to employee concerns and formulates appropriate action plans.
  • Creates and communicates weekly schedules for staff.
  • Manages classroom ratios on a daily basis.
  • Ensures compliance with state licensing regulations through management of new hire paperwork and employee files.
  • Develops and communicates center schedules to maintain appropriate ratios and manage labor within budget.
Customer Engagement
  • Leads tours for prospective families, showcasing the unique aspects of our curriculum and the quality of our educators.
  • Maintains regular communication with families regarding their children's progress.
  • Implements engaging activities for parents.
  • Facilitates our Show and Tell events.
  • Regularly audits and maintains comprehensive records for students and staff.
  • Ensures the center meets all health and safety standards in compliance with local and state regulations.
  • Manages relationships with state licensors and conducts evaluations of the center.
  • Responsible for reporting accidents and incidents.
  • Oversees medication management.
  • Conducts monthly emergency safety drills.
  • Manages new customer documentation in compliance with state regulations.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid MA EEC Director I Certification.
  • Completion of 14 credits in Early Childhood Education and 2 in Child Care Administration.
  • Minimum of one year of leadership or management experience in a center setting required.
  • Preferred: Two or more years of leadership or management experience in a center setting.
  • Professional teaching experience with infants to preschool-aged children is essential.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of state licensing regulations is necessary.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification is highly preferred.
  • Must adhere to state-specific guidelines.
Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 per year

Sign-on Bonus: $500
