As a Center Director at The Learning Experience, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of young children and supporting the professional growth of educators. You will foster a collaborative and nurturing environment that promotes development and success for all.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Identifies, schedules, and interviews potential teaching candidates; cultivates networks for future talent acquisition.
- Conducts classroom observations and evaluations, providing constructive feedback that inspires and motivates.
- Oversees the implementation of the curriculum in accordance with brand standards.
- Utilizes a growth mindset to mentor, coach, and develop staff for future success.
- Actively listens to employee concerns and formulates appropriate action plans.
- Creates and communicates weekly staff schedules.
- Manages classroom ratios daily.
- Ensures compliance with state licensing regulations regarding employee documentation and files.
- Develops and communicates center schedules to maintain appropriate ratios and manage labor effectively.
- Leads tours for prospective families, emphasizing key features and unique aspects of our curriculum and teacher quality.
- Maintains regular communication with families regarding student progress.
- Implements engaging activities for parents.
- Oversees the execution of our Show and Tell program.
- Regularly audits and maintains comprehensive records for students and staff.
- Ensures that the physical environment meets health and safety standards in compliance with local and state regulations.
- Manages relationships with state licensors and conducts evaluations of the center.
- Responsible for reporting accidents and incidents.
- Oversees medication management.
- Conducts monthly emergency safety drills.
- Manages new customer documentation in accordance with state licensing requirements.
- Must possess a valid MA EEC Director I Certification.
- Completion of 14 credits in Early Childhood Education and 2 credits in Child Care Administration.
- A minimum of one year of leadership or management experience in a center setting is required.
- Two or more years of center leadership/management experience is highly preferred.
- Professional teaching experience with infants to preschool-aged children is essential.
- A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of state licensing regulations is required.
- CPR and First Aid Certification is highly preferred.
- Must meet state-specific guidelines.
Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
Sign-on Bonus: $500
