Plant Finance Leader

Position Summary

Located in the Augusta, GA region, this role is integral to the Milliken Textiles Manufacturing Finance team, which comprises finance professionals committed to overseeing the financial operations of multiple manufacturing facilities. Reporting to the Advanced Plant Finance Leader, this position will manage the financial aspects of three specific factories, primarily focusing on ensuring efficient operations through precise costing, budgeting, and expenditure management. Regular engagement with plant managers will be essential to provide financial insights that facilitate operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct period-end financial close processes and guarantee the accuracy of financial data and reporting.
  • Maintain standard operational practices, including budget updates, product costing, and management reporting.
  • Ensure a robust internal control framework is in place, adhering to governance and compliance standards.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing profitability, return on invested capital (ROIC), and process efficiencies.
  • Oversee significant capital and operational expenditures, alongside effective asset management.
  • Manage and validate all inventory and material cycle counts.
  • Perform detailed variance and spending analyses, providing valuable insights to plant management and operational partners.

Qualifications - Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent financial experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Skills

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a management accounting role, preferably within a manufacturing context.
  • Familiarity with SAP software.
  • Professional accounting certification (CMA and/or CPA) is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to responsibilities.
  • Leadership capabilities with a focus on influencing change.
  • A collaborative mindset, capable of achieving results in a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
