Job Overview

As a pivotal member of the Westgate Resorts team, the Safety and Security Specialist plays a crucial role in upholding the integrity of our Safety and Security Program. This position is essential in fostering a secure environment for both guests and staff through a collaborative approach with uniformed personnel and management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly to incidents involving Police, Fire, or Medical emergencies, ensuring actions are taken within the defined responsibilities of a Security Officer.
  • Oversee access control at designated locations, ensuring the safety of all individuals on the premises.
  • Conduct thorough safety inspections in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of security activities, including checklists and logs.
  • Prepare detailed and precise incident reports as necessary, utilizing computer skills and electronic communication.
  • Address basic service requests and perform routine maintenance on electronic security systems and in-room safes as applicable.
  • Manage traffic control and enforce parking regulations as needed.
  • Respond to security-related concerns and take appropriate measures to resolve them.
  • Assist public safety personnel in their duties as required.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by management, adhering to corporate policies.
