Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Service Supervisor to join our team at Sacramento County CA. As a Family Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising, assigning, reviewing, and participating in the work of staff responsible for providing clients with access to various County or community services through referrals, as part of a comprehensive case plan for adults, families, and children in crisis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of Family Service Workers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to clients.
  • Develop and implement effective case plans to address the needs of clients and their families.
  • Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of staff performance to ensure compliance with County policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other County departments and community organizations to ensure a comprehensive approach to service delivery.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices and new procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to ensure access to resources and services for clients.
Requirements
  • Two years of full-time, paid experience employed by the County of Sacramento in the class of Family Service Worker.
  • Or: Two years of full-time, paid experience working in a health, social services, or community organization, or institution working directly with children, adults, or the elderly, performing the duties equivalent of a nurse's aide, home health aide, teacher's aide, or daycare worker.
  • Successful completion of 12 semester (18 quarter) units from an accredited college or university in social work, sociology, psychology, counseling, early childhood education, gerontology, or other field closely related to the intent of the class.

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
