Position Overview

The Night Auditor is responsible for the comprehensive review, reconciliation, and reporting of various hotel departments to ensure adherence to company policies and prevent discrepancies. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of financial operations during the night shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough audits of all food and beverage revenue streams, including restaurants and room service, ensuring accuracy in cash and credit transactions.
  • Review and balance front desk operations, verifying room charges, adjustments, and ensuring compliance with cash handling procedures.
  • Prepare and analyze room occupancy statistics to provide management with insights into performance metrics.
  • Compile daily financial reports, ensuring all data is accurately recorded and submitted.
  • Perform nightly closing procedures for all financial transactions, ensuring all figures are balanced.
  • Assist in front desk operations, including guest checkouts and inquiries.
  • Support the Night Manager with various tasks as needed.
  • Facilitate wake-up calls and other guest services as required.
  • Assist with bell services when necessary.

  • Familiarity with computer systems and office equipment is essential.

Physical Requirements

Applicants must be able to:

  • Stand and walk for extended periods during an 8-hour shift.
  • Perform tasks requiring close visual acuity, including data analysis and extensive reading.
  • Bend and kneel as necessary while performing front desk duties.
  • Lift and move objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and utilize a phone system.
