Since our inception in 1986, we have successfully graded and authenticated millions of items. Our workforce exceeds 1,700 dedicated professionals across our headquarters and various offices worldwide.

We are in search of a committed part-time Event Security Specialist to join our vibrant events team, responsible for safeguarding our personnel, assets, and profits during trade shows nationwide. This position is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about security, technology, and customer service, and who desire an exhilarating opportunity to travel and work in diverse settings. Key Responsibilities:

  • Be available for travel and work at trade shows and events approximately twice a month, including weekends and holidays as required.
  • Efficiently set up, configure, and maintain security cameras and monitoring systems at various venues to guarantee comprehensive security coverage.
  • Provide secure transportation for high-value items to and from trade show venues, ensuring safe delivery and compliance with all security protocols.
  • Act as a liaison for employees, vendors, and the public at trade show events, delivering assistance and information while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Conduct regular patrols, monitoring for any unusual activities, and be prepared to respond promptly to security incidents.
  • Maintain precise logs of security activities, incidents, and camera footage reviews. Prepare and submit reports as required by management.
  • Collaborate closely with other security team members, event staff, and local law enforcement to ensure a safe and secure environment for all attendees.
  • Secure premises and personnel by monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting equipment and access points; permitting entry.
  • Prevent losses and damages by reporting irregularities.
  • Contribute to the security team's efforts by accomplishing related duties as assigned.
  • Make timely decisions while maintaining composure in emergency response situations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Adhere to all company service and operating standards.
  • Protect the company's assets against theft, assault, fire, and other safety concerns.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of security experience required, preferably in a corporate or executive setting.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive at night; experience in secure transportation is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel as needed and work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong technical proficiency, particularly with security camera setup, operation, and maintenance.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with a diverse range of individuals, both in writing and verbally. Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Ability to analyze situations and apply logic and reasoning to problem-solving.
  • Attentive to the reactions of others, with strong body language reading skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excellent active listening skills, fostering trusting interpersonal relationships, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.

  • Valid California BSIS Guard Card (required)
  • Valid Driver's License (required)
  • High school diploma (required)
  • Valid Passport (preferred)
  • Reserve/Former military experience (preferred)
  • Police Officer experience (preferred)
  • First Aid, CPR, and other emergency certifications (preferred)

Compensation: The estimated hourly rate for this position ranges from $30 to $35. Actual compensation may vary based on several non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, prior experience, and skill set.
