Job Overview

Ferruzzo & Ferruzzo, LLP is in search of a skilled Estate Planning / Trust Administration Attorney who possesses a robust background in crafting estate planning documents and managing trusts and estates. This position is ideal for a professional with six (6) to twelve (12) years of relevant experience, particularly in drafting diverse types of trusts and handling both taxable and nontaxable estates.

Key Responsibilities

  • General Duties:
    • Provide independent legal representation and counsel to clients during meetings, ensuring their planning objectives are met.
    • Oversee multiple legal cases concurrently, either independently or in collaboration with fellow attorneys.
    • Delegate tasks to associates and support personnel to maintain an efficient workflow.
    • Draft case theories, memoranda, and reports for Senior Management review.
    • Conduct thorough due diligence in legal matters pertaining to contracts and agreements.
  • Client Relations:
    • Engage with the Managing Partner and Practice Group Leaders regarding client matters.
    • Establish and nurture strong client relationships through effective communication and clear explanations of legal processes.
    • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of clients' businesses, economic factors, and industry requirements to offer pertinent and timely advice.
  • Business Growth:
    • Contribute to business development and marketing strategies to enhance the practice.
    • Identify potential clients through networking, marketing initiatives, article writing, and public speaking.
    • Support the firm's values and culture by participating in Corporate Social Responsibility, pro-bono initiatives, and social events.
    • Mentor associate attorneys and legal assistants to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Six (6) to twelve (12) years of experience in estate planning and trust administration.
  • Active member in good standing of the California State Bar.
  • Strong academic credentials, with an LL.M. in Taxation preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of professionalism.
