Ferruzzo & Ferruzzo, LLP is on the lookout for a seasoned Estate Planning / Trust Administration Attorney who possesses a robust background in the preparation of estate planning documents and the administration of trusts and estates. The ideal candidate will bring between six (6) to twelve (12) years of pertinent experience, showcasing proficiency in drafting various trust types and managing both taxable and nontaxable estates.
Key Responsibilities
General Duties:
- Provide independent legal representation and counsel to clients during meetings, aligning with their ultimate planning objectives.
- Handle multiple legal cases concurrently, either autonomously or in collaboration with fellow attorneys.
- Delegate tasks to associates and support personnel, ensuring an efficient workflow.
- Draft case theories, memoranda, and reports for Senior Management review.
- Conduct thorough due diligence in legal matters concerning contracts and agreements.
Client Relations:
- Engage with the Managing Partner and Practice Group Leaders regarding client matters.
- Establish and nurture strong client relationships through effective communication and clear explanations of legal processes.
- Acquire comprehensive knowledge of clients' businesses, economic drivers, and sector requirements to offer relevant and timely advice.
Business Growth:
- Engage in business development and marketing initiatives to broaden the practice.
- Seek new client opportunities through networking, marketing efforts, article writing, and speaking engagements.
- Contribute to the firm's culture and values through involvement in Corporate Social Responsibility, pro-bono work, and social initiatives.
- Mentor associate attorneys and legal assistants to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Qualifications
- Six (6) to twelve (12) years of experience in estate planning and trust administration.
- Active member in good standing of the California State Bar.
- Strong academic credentials; LL.M. in Taxation preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and professionalism.
