Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer thorough legal counsel to clients regarding estate planning, wills, trusts, probate, and strategies for wealth preservation.
- Design and execute estate plans, including the drafting and finalization of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other essential estate planning documents.
- Work collaboratively with financial advisors and accountants to formulate cohesive wealth management and tax planning strategies.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on intricate estate planning matters.
- Represent clients in probate court proceedings.
- Stay updated on changes in tax and estate planning legislation and regulations.
- Foster strong client relationships while delivering outstanding client service.
- Uphold strict confidentiality and demonstrate sound judgment and discretion in managing sensitive client issues.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law institution.
- Advanced degree in Tax Law (LLM in Tax) is highly advantageous.
- Licensed to practice law in the state and in good standing.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning, trusts, wills, probate, and asset protection.
- Proven experience working with high-net-worth individuals and families.
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Exceptional legal drafting abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex legal concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated capacity to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset for providing practical legal advice.
- High standards of professional ethics and integrity.
