Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of new power products, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide technical leadership and support to staff on existing power products, ensuring high-quality designs and efficient production processes.
- Develop proposals with risk analysis for potential new products, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Participate in product review and engineering meetings to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Design and develop switching power supplies and ultracapacitor-based modules, leveraging expertise in power electronics and electrical engineering.
- Develop PCB designs and layouts using Cadence OrCad/Allegro PCB Designer, ensuring high-quality and efficient designs.
- Schedule work to meet completion dates and technical specifications, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
- Review and evaluate the progress of other engineers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and application domains, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
- Produce accurate and readable electrical schematics per industry standards, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Travel to customer locations for installation, testing, and troubleshooting, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Mentor and develop younger engineers in design and critical thinking, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Qualification Requirements:
- Self-starter with a proven ability to focus efforts, overcome obstacles, and complete key objectives.
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience or master's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Previous design experience in energy storage, power generation, renewable energy, and power conversion is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
