About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Materials Engineering Technician to join our team at S&ME. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and integrity of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily field testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, and other building materials to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Review construction plans and documents to identify potential issues and ensure that structures are built correctly.
  • Document field activities and submit reports on project tasks and testing results through our software system.
  • Calibrate equipment to industry standards to ensure precision in testing processes.
  • Maintain open communication with stakeholders to foster trust and transparency, driving success of our projects.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-3+ years of experience in construction testing/inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt materials.
  • Effective communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing) using the English language.
  • Ability to complete data entry into multiple software applications on a smart device.
