Job Summary
Norton Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Child Life Therapist to join our team. As a Child Life Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing psychosocial support to patients and families in our inpatient and outpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and plan psychosocial patient/family needs for patients aged neonatal to 17 years.
- Provide psychosocial support to meet the needs of patients and families.
- Plan and coordinate activities designed to further the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical growth of children.
- Act as an advocate for patients and families.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a 600-hour Child Life internship.
- Bachelor's Degree in Child Life, Child Development, Psychology, Education, or other health-related field.
- Certified Child Life Specialist - Child Life Certification or eligibility to sit for exam. Must obtain Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) credential within 12 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of experience in a healthcare setting.
