Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is a state-of-the-art facility equipped with advanced medical programs and technology, featuring 365 beds and a team of over 1,200 professionals.

We believe in a collaborative approach to healthcare, where every individual plays a vital role in patient care, fostering an atmosphere of compassion and respect.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Review patient records and physician orders to establish optimal imaging parameters.
2. Select appropriate imaging coils for procedures.
3. Conduct imaging studies utilizing established scanning techniques and protocols.
4. Collaborate with physicians to enhance MRI sequences for superior image quality.
5. Administer contrast media based on patient metrics, including GFR screening and lab evaluations.
6. Screen patients and their families for MRI safety and contraindications.
7. Confirm pregnancy status when necessary and obtain consent documentation.
8. Document diagnostic and patient information accurately.
9. Ensure MRI safety by screening for contraindications (e.g., foreign bodies, medical conditions).

10. Assess patient preparedness for procedures.
11. Fulfill on-call responsibilities as dictated by departmental policies.
12. Perform daily administrative tasks, including utilizing HIS systems and patient scheduling.
13. Execute any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Vocational/Technical school diploma preferred.
  • 0-1 years of relevant experience.
  • MRI certification required within one year of employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of experience in MRI.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification.
