General Overview:

Leverage a diverse set of skills, technical expertise, and analytical thinking to assist in surgical procedures and manage equipment before and after operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clinical surgical assistance by overseeing all pertinent equipment.
  • Anticipate the device requirements of surgical teams.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining Stryker equipment and related devices, collaborating with Sterile Processing Department personnel.
  • Engage with surgeons, central processing, biomedical teams, and other relevant staff.
  • Stay informed about equipment and disposable products through Stryker's educational programs.
  • Provide physicians and operating room staff with insights on both new and existing products.
  • Accurately document and report data metrics related to job functions on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain current account information to ensure high service levels.
  • Record and report all surgical procedure details accurately.
  • Comply with all Stryker and medical facility policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Utilize independent judgment to analyze and resolve both routine and complex product issues promptly.
  • Be available for on-call services as required by the medical facility.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Associate's Degree, or equivalent certifications preferred.
  • Experience in an Operating Room setting and knowledge of anatomy, surgical procedures, and techniques preferred.
  • For Specialists in Sterile Processing Department: IAHCSMM CRCST Certification required within 6 months of employment and timely yearly renewal.
  • Ability to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs of force frequently.
  • Capability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, along with strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment and critical thinking.
  • Ability to articulate and develop detailed guidelines and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, work ethic, and attitude as expected by Stryker and the medical facility.
  • Adhere to HIPAA and other related patient confidentiality policies and procedures.
  • Must possess near visual acuity (corrected), color vision, mobility, bending, standing, stooping, and finger dexterity.
  • Ability to observe and rectify minute inconsistencies in product appearance.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities related to equipment.
