Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Equipment Specialist to join our team at Cephas Consultancy Services Private Limited. As a key member of our Clinical Engineering department, you will be responsible for providing planned maintenance, safety testing, repairs, calibration, installation, and routine and emergency service to a wide range of medical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform planned maintenance procedures on multiple types of general and specialized clinical equipment, adhering to manufacturer's recommendations, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct corrective maintenance procedures, including diagnosing problems using various sciences and documenting results to ensure compliance with regulatory and standard requirements.
  • Notify equipment users, Clinical Engineering Managers, and Regional Directors of repair status and delays as necessary.
  • Interact with clinical staff to understand and resolve operational problems in scheduling and completing maintenance procedures while minimizing interference to hospital departments.
  • Determine the need for replacement parts and supplies, select the most cost-effective source, and submit properly completed parts requests using established policies and guidelines.
  • Complete corrective and planned maintenance work order documentation per policy.
  • Promote teamwork by keeping others informed, participating effectively in group decision-making, working to accomplish team objectives and projects, and soliciting feedback about one's effectiveness as a team member.
  • Continuously improve processes by seeking ways to eliminate and reduce waste.
  • Provide on-call service coverage after normal business hours on a rotating basis, as assigned.
  • Provide assistance and training to Bio-Medical Equipment Technician I as assigned by Clinical Engineering Management.
  • May be assigned duties as Lead Bio-Medical Equipment Technician, as needed.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Strong knowledge of medical equipment, including diagnostic and therapeutic equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
