Developmental Instruction Specialist

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and be able to connect with students on an individual level. Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing specialized curriculum for a single student at a given time
- Communicating with the Intervention Specialist and the student's parent(s) regarding scheduling, curriculum implementation, and student progress
- Reporting IEP goals to the Intervention Specialist regularly
- Administering baseline assessments for IEP
- Observing student performance and recording relevant data to assess progress
- Implementing basic behavior strategies to ensure a successful school day
Estimated Salary: $16-$18 per hour.
Required QualificationsTo be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- Earned an associate degree or higher, or at least two years of study (defined as 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours)
- Ability to pass a state and federal background check
- High-energy and a love of working with children
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Studies in education, social work, or psychology preferred
- Experience working with children diagnosed with developmental disabilities preferred
