About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer to join our team at Jacobs. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will play a critical role in supporting mission-critical projects that impact national security and intelligence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering expertise to analyze complex systems, architecture, and network design to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Procure and perform acceptance testing on equipment to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
  • Provide hardware maintenance support, including preventative and remedial maintenance, to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Deploy, install, and implement hardware at Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) locations.
  • Prepare specifications for hardware by analyzing documented and derived system requirements.
  • Conduct site surveys to identify technical requirements and develop engineering plans.
  • Configure and document configuration of computers, networking devices, and peripheral equipment.
  • Prepare site installation and test reports to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
  • Ensure that problems have been properly identified and solutions will satisfy user requirements.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations concerning existing and emerging hardware technologies.
  • Provide specific input to the hardware components of system design to include end-user devices, servers, networking devices, data storage devices, and specialized processors.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Must meet DoD approved 8570 Baseline Certification for IAT Level III and possess at least 3 of the following certifications: Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA), SonicWall Network Security Administrator (SNSA), SonicWall Network Security Professional (SNSP), Symantec ProxySG 6.7 Technical Specialist, Cisco CCNA or higher.
  • Seventeen (17) years experience as a Network Security Engineer analyzing complex hardware systems for SIGINT solutions.
  • Five (5) years of additional Network Security engineering experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cisco Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AA) and Cisco Identity Service Engine (ISE) AAA/ISE.
  • Cisco Switches.
  • HP Network Node Manager (HPNNM) and HP Network Automation (HPNA).
  • Dynamic multipoint virtual private network (DMVPN).
  • Firewalls (McAfee, Palo Alto, Sonic).
  • Proxy/Load Balancers (F5).
  • Routing/WAN.
  • Virtual Private Networks (VPN).
Clearance and Education

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required. A Bachelor's degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
