Aspire Educational Services is in search of Instructional Assistants who are devoted to cultivating a nurturing atmosphere where children with diverse abilities can thrive. The Instructional Assistant will collaborate with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored instruction and will be responsible for supporting students with various needs, including academic assistance and behavioral support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance across all educational environments; accompany and supervise students during transitions.
  • Support classroom management by organizing instructional materials.
  • Assist students with the use of necessary equipment, including communication devices.
  • Help students with mobility, positioning, and transfers.
  • Support Activities of Daily Living, which may include feeding, grooming, and toileting.
  • Accompany students on transportation services.
  • Monitor and redirect student behavior as necessary.
  • Encourage students to stay focused and complete tasks assigned by educators.
  • Implement Individual Education Plans and assist in collecting data on student progress.
  • Facilitate parental involvement initiatives.
  • Be prepared to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Physical requirements will vary based on the school and student needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma; an Associate or Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
  • A genuine passion for working with children with disabilities is essential.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Must meet school background requirements, including child abuse clearances and FBI Fingerprints.
