Aspire Educational Services is on the lookout for Instructional Assistants who are eager to create a supportive environment where children with various abilities can thrive. The role involves assisting teachers and therapists in delivering effective instruction, and requires the ability to support students with a range of needs, including academic and behavioral challenges.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide assistance across all educational environments; escort and supervise students as they transition between locations.
- Support classroom management by organizing instructional materials.
- Help students utilize necessary equipment, including communication devices when applicable.
- Assist with student positioning, transferring, and mobility.
- Support daily living activities such as feeding, grooming, bathing, and toileting as needed.
- Accompany students on transportation services.
- Monitor and redirect student behavior as necessary.
- Encourage students to stay focused and complete tasks assigned by educators.
- Implement Individual Education Plans and assist in tracking student progress.
- Facilitate parental involvement initiatives.
- Be prepared to engage in physical activities as required by the needs of the students.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma; an Associate or Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, or a related field is preferred.
- A genuine passion for working with children with disabilities.
- Reliable transportation is essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to meet school background check requirements, including child abuse clearances and FBI fingerprints.
