Overview

Northern Impact, a prominent multidisciplinary design firm, is on the lookout for a skilled Healthcare Project Lead to enhance their team. This role involves engaging in all stages of design and construction documentation for healthcare initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional time management, communication, and technical abilities, collaborating closely with the team to transform design concepts into high-quality documentation.

The firm operates multiple offices globally, specializing in healthcare, arts and culture, community, corporate, education, and government projects. Northern Impact has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the American Architecture Award for Museums and Cultural Buildings and the IIDA Healthcare Design Award.

Responsibilities

- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the project's design philosophy and contribute significantly to concepts as defined by the Project Manager or Project Architect.

- Create construction documents using Revit, including plans, sections, and details.

- Support quality control for the design function, ensuring integration and coordination across all disciplines involved in the building project.

- Maintain continuous communication to stay informed about project changes, design challenges, or time/budget constraints that may affect the initial assignment.

- Engage and communicate effectively and professionally with team members.

- Leverage past knowledge and experience to enhance product quality, identify potential issues, communicate their impact to the team, and seek clarity when necessary.

- Take responsibility for executing and assisting with quality control activities for architectural elements within the project.

- Review drawings, documents, and submissions for compliance, documenting code reviews and adherence.

- Keep the lead architect or designated team leader updated on progress, recognizing issues and communicating their impact to the team while seeking clarity when needed.

- Utilize previous experience and project knowledge to assist the Project Manager, considering schedules and budgets, while providing appropriate communication with team leaders and members responsible for workflow and timelines.

- Ensure adherence to project design schedules and construction budgets.

- Assist with cost estimates and bid evaluations alongside the Project Manager.

- Contribute to the preparation of analyses, including alternatives or substitutions aimed at cost reduction.

Qualifications

Preferred candidates will possess:

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.

- 4-10 years of relevant experience.

- A keen interest in collaborating on medium to large-scale projects.

- Proficiency in Revit is essential; experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, and other graphic tools is desirable.

- Strong 2D and 3D graphic skills are preferred.

- Experience in healthcare projects and familiarity with OSHPD/DSA regulations is highly advantageous.
