Veterinary Emergency Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Veterinarian to join our team at the Veterinary Referral Center of Central Oregon Inc. As a key member of our emergency department, you will provide timely and comprehensive medical care to patients, including conducting physical examinations, interpreting diagnostic tests, and administering necessary treatments.
Responsibilities:- Provide medical care to patients in the emergency department, including conducting physical examinations, interpreting diagnostic tests, and administering necessary treatments.
- Maintain accurate records of all services rendered and ensure clear communication with clients or referring veterinarians regarding patient status and treatment plans.
- Participate in promoting the practice and contribute to the educational development of interns and externs.
- Lead the team in delivering an exceptional level of care to patients and pet-parents while maintaining a positive work environment.
- Collaborate with veterinarian peers and staff to create a great working environment where the needs of the pet-parents, patient guests, support staff, and doctors are met and our core values are lived.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree obtained from an accredited university or college.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Oregon.
- Prior experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or high volume general practice preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
