As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for enforcing laws and ordinances, detecting and preventing crime, and providing administrative support to the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce laws and ordinances to ensure public safety and security
  • Conduct investigations and collect evidence to solve crimes
  • Patrol city roadways and enforce traffic ordinances
  • Provide court testimony and participate in ongoing training and certification programs
  • Perform administrative duties, including maintaining accurate records and documentation
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's degree or 2 years of college in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local laws and ordinances
  • Ability to communicate effectively and handle difficult situations with professionalism
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Working Conditions

This position involves occasional exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards and outside work. Incumbents may be required to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly.
