The Police Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the University community, enforcing laws and regulations, and providing emergency services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be physically fit, and have a strong commitment to public service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patrol designated areas to prevent and detect crime, and to enforce laws and regulations.
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed.
  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence to solve crimes.
  • Make arrests and transport individuals to jail as necessary.
  • Provide information and assistance to the public, and respond to inquiries and complaints.
  • Participate in training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest law enforcement techniques and procedures.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Missouri operator's license.
  • Missouri POST certification required prior to employment.
  • Citizen of the United States.
  • Resident of the State of Missouri by date of appointment.
  • Twenty-one years of age by date of appointment.
  • No felony or Class A misdemeanor convictions.
  • No addiction to alcohol or controlled substances.

Selection Process:
