Hourly Compensation: $18.00/hr.

Shifts Available:

  • 1st Shift: Mon-Fri 7:00am - 3:00pm
  • 2nd Shift: Mon-Fri 4:00pm - 12:45am

Position Summary

The Material Handling Specialist at 48forty Solutions is responsible for the efficient movement of pallets and materials throughout the facility, supporting production needs while managing the loading and unloading of trailers. In some locations, the role may also involve sorting pallets as part of daily tasks. The specialist will make informed decisions regarding the movement of materials to optimize operational efficiency.

The operator will utilize levers and pedals to maneuver the forklift and control the lifting apparatus, positioning forks or other lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets to transport them to designated areas. Proper unloading and stacking of materials will be executed by raising and lowering the lifting device.

Safety is paramount; therefore, forklift operators must adhere to all company safety protocols while striving to meet production targets in a clean and safe environment. 48forty Solutions welcomes new team members to join our dynamic workforce.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience operating sit-down forklifts is preferred.
  • Must possess quick reflexes, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
  • Compliance with all safety regulations is essential.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Effective communication skills are required.
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
  • Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, carpentry, welding, roofing, or construction is strongly preferred.

  • Ability to work in various conditions, including extreme temperatures and air particulates.
  • Repetitive lifting of 50-75 pounds and adjusting body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for extended periods.
  • Frequent requirements to sit, talk, hear, walk, and use hands for handling and reaching.
  • Noise levels may vary depending on the location.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory, including eye protection and safety shoes.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
  • A good sense of balance and coordination is necessary.
