Warehouse Material Coordinator - 1st Shift
Schedule: 1st shift, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with overtime and weekends as necessary.
Compensation: Starting pay at $19.53/hour
Location: Onsite at Ingersoll Rand facilities.
Job Summary
This role emphasizes the oversight of floor stock components, collaboration with suppliers, and the movement of all parts and materials utilized in assembly or machining processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage floor stock inventory levels (minimum/maximum) to ensure safety stock is consistently available.
- Communicate with suppliers to place orders and maintain desired inventory levels.
- Monitor changes in inventory demand based on production volumes and maintain accurate digital inventory records.
- Coordinate with suppliers to expedite, de-expedite, or cancel orders as needed.
- Receive, ship, load, and unload materials from suppliers or carriers using various material handling equipment.
- Inspect incoming materials for compliance and report any damage to Quality Assurance.
- Transport materials from the warehouse or receiving area to designated locations using barcode scanners and/or computers.
- Utilize technology to accurately identify stock locations and retrieve parts.
- Count, weigh, and document the number of units received, moved, or shipped, reporting discrepancies to inventory control.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to assist in loading or moving materials.
- Pick parts for machine shop, assembly areas, and spare part sales orders based on work orders.
- Assist in managing shipping and packing materials, ensuring an organized workspace, and handling waste streams.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following 6S methodology.
- Adhere to all ISO procedures and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- Experience in material handling or warehouse operations preferred, with a focus on forklift operation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and inventory control software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Key Competencies
- Prior experience in inventory or material handling is desirable.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Willingness to become certified on forklifts and other material handling devices.
- Proficient in using computers and barcode scanners for business systems.
- Ability to create inventory reports using Excel.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
