Advanced Practice Nurse in Primary Care

ResponsibilitiesAs an Advanced Practice Nurse, you will collaborate closely with physicians and medical directors to assume clinical responsibilities within your scope of practice. Your duties will include:
- Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing physical examinations.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests to establish accurate diagnoses.
- Providing care and management for prevalent health conditions and promoting disease prevention strategies for both pediatric and adult populations.
- Facilitating patient admissions, transfers, and discharges within the healthcare system.
- Making appropriate referrals to specialists and community resources as needed.
- Engaging in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop tailored care plans for patients and their families.
Your role will also involve:
- Implementing established medical standards and procedures to formulate effective treatment plans.
- Delivering preventive healthcare services to long-term patients and managing their medication and treatment plans.
- Evaluating patient outcomes and consulting with specialists when necessary.
- Providing educational support to patients, families, and colleagues through various teaching methods.
- Utilizing age-appropriate educational strategies to enhance understanding.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- A minimum of three years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Current RN license in Arizona or a Compact State.
- Registered Nurse Practitioner certification in Arizona, with national certification maintained in accordance with state regulations.
- Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
