Research Scientist 2 Position at Stanford University

Stanford University is seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist 2 to join our team. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for conducting complex research projects, analyzing data, and making recommendations to the principal investigator.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct independent research projects, including designing experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and interpreting results.
- Collaborate with the research team to develop and implement new research protocols and procedures.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to advance research projects and share knowledge.
- Develop and maintain detailed records of experiments and outcomes.
- Contribute to the preparation of papers for publication and present research findings to colleagues and academic conferences.
- Oversee the daily activities of the laboratory, including lab maintenance, inventory management, and safety protocols.
- Supervise and train laboratory staff and students as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field and two years of relevant work experience, or Master's degree in a related scientific field.
- Comprehensive understanding of scientific principles and research methods.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
The successful candidate will be required to work in a laboratory environment, with potential exposure to hazardous materials and infectious diseases. The position may also require extended or unusual work hours based on research requirements and business needs.
