Senior Applied Research Scientist

Geomagical Labs, a pioneering 3D R&D lab in partnership with IKEA, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Applied Research Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our computer vision and AI research team, you will play a crucial role in developing and improving the underlying algorithms powering our consumer products.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement novel computer vision and deep learning algorithms for 3D reconstruction and scene understanding.
- Collaborate with our team of experts in computer graphics, computational photography, and design to develop innovative mixed reality experiences.
- Develop and maintain high-performance software systems using Python and ML frameworks.
- Contribute to the development of technologies that get integrated into products and track post-launch performance.
- Ph.D. and 2+ years of experience, or Master's and 6+ years of experience, in computer vision and deep learning.
- Experience in classical methods for 3D reconstruction and deep learning for 3D scene understanding.
- Familiarity with computer graphics and computational photography.
- Expertise in ML frameworks and libraries, e.g. PyTorch.
- Highly productive in Python and ability to architect and implement complex systems.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to make systems work end-to-end.
- Innovative with a track record of patents and/or first-authored publications at leading workshops or conferences.
