Job Description

Mercedes-Benz of Plano is seeking a full-time Parts Counter Associate for their Parts Department. This role requires a reliable and professional individual to purchase, sell, and issue parts within a busy dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Look up parts for wholesale or technicians
  • Fulfill orders
  • Answer customer inquiries
  • Stay current with special order parts
  • Determine customer needs and accurately specify parts
  • Create and modify purchase orders
  • Issue purchase orders to vendors to order parts
  • Record warranty parts returned
  • Create special ordered parts on the dealership computer system; notify relevant parties upon receipt
  • Review special order parts tracking
  • Process and close open invoices
  • Verify the quality and quantity of merchandise received by comparing invoices against requisitions
  • Keep records of outside purchases and parts received and issued
  • Perform ongoing wholesale parts inventory
  • Attend weekly department meetings
Requirements:
  • Dealership Parts experience is required
  • Two years plus Mercedes-Benz / dealership Counter Sales experience is a plus
  • Efficiency with ordering parts and maintaining inventory
  • Excellent communication skills with internal staff and customers
  • OEC knowledge / MPI or equivalent experience
  • Reynolds and Reynolds experience
  • Spanish/Bilingual is a plus (not required)
