Job Summary:
Collin College is seeking a highly motivated and organized Academic Advisor to join our team. As an Academic Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting students in achieving their academic and career goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement academic advising programs for students, including individual and group advising sessions, and new student orientation programs.
  • Advise students on program planning, course selection, schedule changes, transferability, and course withdrawals.
  • Research degree plans and advise students on transfer guides to university partnerships.
  • Perform unofficial degree evaluations to effectively advise incoming transfer students.
  • May perform data entry and monitoring of the SEVIS system.
  • Participate in evening advising and provide leadership and supervision for staff.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • One (1) year of full-time experience in student development/affairs which involves academic and career counseling.

Working Conditions:
This is a part-time position with a competitive hourly rate of $24.86. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
