Opportunity Overview:

The Operational Risk Management Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting Voya's Workplace Solutions ORM strategy and framework. This position is integral to ensuring effective processes are established to mitigate operational risks. Operational risk management encompasses a continuous cycle of risk assessment, decision-making, and the implementation of controls aimed at accepting, mitigating, or avoiding risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the ORM team to develop and execute a comprehensive ORM strategy, framework, and policies.
  • Work alongside business units to address identified risks promptly and document progress within Voya's governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) tool.
  • Engage in the identification, assessment, measurement, mitigation, and monitoring of operational risks through the deployment of essential ORM processes.
  • Prepare high-quality risk event and assessment reports for distribution to leadership.
  • Analyze data and present risk findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Participate in project engagements and conduct post-release assessments.
  • Promote a strong risk culture and operational excellence by partnering with business units to enhance risk processes and strengthen operational models.
  • Collaborate with other risk assurance functions, including internal audit and compliance, to develop a comprehensive view of risks.
  • Provide independent challenges to validate business risk profiles and ensure compliance with risk standards.
  • Assist in creating presentations for Risk Committees and other governance meetings.
  • Monitor action items and validate the closure of issues.
  • Support risk training initiatives and contribute to procedural documentation.
  • Engage in daily business activities to gain insights into procedures and controls.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, business administration, mathematics, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in operational risk management or related fields within Health and/or Wealth Administration.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing controls.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to analyze data effectively and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Proficient in creating high-quality documentation and reports for senior leadership.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Familiarity with GRC tools, Microsoft Office, Tableau, and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as CIA, CRMA, or CFE are preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

Voya is dedicated to fair and equitable compensation. The annual base salary range for this position is $84,930 - $141,560 USD, reflecting the expected hiring range. In addition to base salary, Voya offers various incentive opportunities based on performance.
