Contract Duration: 12 Months

Location: Richland WA (25% Remote)

Overview:
We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Senior Project Scheduler to enhance our operations at Comtec Consultants.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong history in planning, developing, and executing scheduling strategies for large-scale projects characterized by intricate, multi-disciplinary scopes.

This position requires a strategic mindset coupled with outstanding analytical capabilities and a comprehensive grasp of project management principles to ensure that project milestones are achieved in a timely and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, sustain, and oversee comprehensive project schedules for Nuclear Development initiatives, encompassing all project phases from inception to completion.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and various stakeholders to collect all necessary information for precise scheduling.
  • Identify potential scheduling risks and propose mitigation strategies to ensure adherence to project timelines.
  • Utilize advanced scheduling software to create visual representations, Gantt charts, and other tools to communicate progress to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Lead scheduling strategy discussions and provide expert recommendations on schedule optimization, adjustments, and the potential impacts of changes.
  • Ensure the integration of schedules across multiple projects and disciplines, fostering a unified approach to project execution.
  • Conduct scenario analyses and planning for best-case, probable-case, and worst-case scenarios.
  • Prepare analytical reports comparing baseline approved schedules to progress schedules, including critical path method, resource loading, cost loading, manpower, submittals projections of impacts, and recovery plans.
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in project scheduling, with at least 4 years dedicated to large-scale, mega projects.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • SRO License or Certification.
  • Advanced knowledge of work management and outage work processes and procedures.
  • Proficient in the Passport program and its integration with Primavera scheduling software.
  • Expertise in Primavera scheduling software and fundamental scheduling techniques.
  • Primavera 106 Training Certification or four years of experience utilizing Primavera Scheduling software.
  • Familiarity with report development software (Crystal Reports) and database analysis.
  • Understanding of outage risk management and online risk management software (Paragon).
  • PMP certification.
  • Knowledge of management techniques (e.g., situational leadership, performance management, time management, etc.).
Essential Skills:

  • Experience directly related to life cycle construction projects with a solid understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction processes.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 is essential.
  • Strong comprehension of project management processes, EVM (Earned Value Management), and risk management.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex schedules and scenarios clearly.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage with personnel at all organizational levels.
  • Experience in the Nuclear industry, renewable energy, or construction is highly desirable.
