Pediatric Heart Transplant Program Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Heart Transplant Program Manager to join our team at Duke University Hospital. As a member of our transplant program, you will be responsible for coordinating solid organ transplantation of all pediatric and adult organ recipients, providing follow-up and care across the continuum from pre-transplant, during transplant, and post-transplant.
">About the RoleThe Pediatric Heart Transplant Program Manager will play a key role in our team, working closely with members of the healthcare team to enhance patient care, develop nursing staff education programs, and participate in research initiatives. This role requires a strong background in nursing, with at least 5 years of experience in transplant or critical care nursing.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A BSN degree is required, with an MSN degree preferred.
Responsibilities- Coordinates evaluation process for pre-transplant patients to ensure effective use of hospital and clinical resources.
- Assesses post-transplant organ function and general health status, determining need for additional assessment or intervention.
- Provides advanced nursing care for patients before and after solid-organ transplantation.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement protocol and standards of care for transplant patients.
- Participates in research initiatives to improve transplant outcomes and patient care.
- BSN degree (MSN degree preferred)
- At least 5 years of experience in transplant or critical care nursing

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
