About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our team at TEKsystems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing top-notch technical support and wants to grow their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide hands-on and remote technical support to end-users, configure and deploy endpoint technologies, and troubleshoot complex issues. They will also be responsible for maintaining and supporting organizational and departmental PC/Laptop images and applications.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Endpoint Configuration and Deployment: Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot all endpoint technologies, including physical and virtual technologies.
  2. Deskside Support: Provide deskside computer troubleshooting/problem resolution services.
  3. Operating System and Application Deployment: Deploy and troubleshoot operating systems and enterprise application software.
  4. Incident Management: Manage incidents/requests assigned to the Desktop Support Team.
  5. User Documentation: Develop and maintain user and technical documentation.
  6. Project Work: Work on specific tasks or projects to meet business goals and objectives.
  7. Backup Support: Backup to the Help Desk Team (Tier 1).
  8. Hardware Repair Coordination: Coordinate hardware repair with Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
  9. Hardware Moves and Inventory: Perform hardware moves and inventory tasks.
  10. Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative duties, including ordering supplies, receiving equipment, and performing inventories.

Requirements

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree or 4 years of studies in an IT-related field.
  2. Experience: 2-3 years of experience in desktop hardware/software configuration in an enterprise environment.
  3. Certifications: Industry certifications preferred, such as A+ and MCITP.
  4. Knowledge: Understanding of ITIL Framework, solid understanding of PC and Laptop hardware and peripherals, strong understanding of Windows OS, SCCM, and Microsoft Office applications.
  5. Financial Knowledge: Understanding of financial applications preferred, such as Bloomberg, Factset, Thomson Reuters.

Estimated Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
