About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team as a Field Service Installation Technician. This role requires extensive travel, up to 90%, to customer sites across the US and Europe.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and troubleshooting various on-site engineering assignments, including installations and fault finding for automated systems. They will work closely with customers and management to ensure project status updates and address service issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently complete technical analysis on complex systems.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and possess knowledge of industrial controls and communication protocols.
  • Experience with Electro-Mechanical systems.
  • Handle difficult customer situations with logical troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management and proactive communication.
  • Multitask and work effectively under pressure.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Maintain a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Build transparent communications internally and externally.

Requirements:

  • Professional qualification in a relevant engineering field with 2-3 years of experience in a similar environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in Machine Vision Systems, Autonomous Mobile Robotics, Refrigerated Locker Systems, and Print/Apply Systems.
  • Basic Java scripting experience for data formatting and communications.
  • Flexibility to work evening/weekend hours or varying patterns.
  • Potential for occasional international travel.
  • Ability to work remotely and within a team environment.
  • Valid Driver's License without restriction.
  • Legal authorization to work in the country.
  • Physical capability for prolonged standing/walking, lifting, and ladder use.

Language Skills:

  • English is the primary language for daily operations, with additional support for Spanish, French, and Dutch.

Salary: The estimated salary for this role is $32-$38 per hour, based on industry standards and the required skills and qualifications.
