PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Under the guidance of the Executive Culinary Team, this role is essential in supporting all culinary operations effectively.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Directs, implements, and sustains a guest service and management philosophy that serves as a foundation for team members.

2. Develops and executes innovative pastry menus, adhering to recipes that meet Legends Hospitality standards.

3. Collaborates with the Executive Culinary Team to discuss assignments, anticipated business levels, changes, and other relevant information for job performance.

4. Possesses strong pastry fundamentals.

5. Demonstrates knowledge of bread baking and advanced pastry techniques.

6. Ensures compliance with County Health/Sanitation regulations as well as Legends Hospitality standards.

7. Capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment.

8. Knowledgeable in food purchasing practices.

9. Conducts meetings/pre-shifts to inform staff about daily goals and objectives.

10. Provides ongoing and consistent service training for all staff members.

11. Maintains positive guest relations at all times.

12. Ensures efficient service and quality products by fostering positive customer and client relations through effective communication and sound financial practices.

13. Manages costs related to labor and operating supplies; operates within budgetary guidelines.

14. Ensures that all equipment is in proper working order and is cleaned regularly.

15. Oversees staff management and ensures proper hiring and promotion of associates in accordance with Legends Hospitality Standards.

16. Exhibits leadership for all direct reports through consistent communication, recognition, and disciplinary actions when necessary.

17. Performs other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • The ideal candidate will possess a pastry culinary degree or have completed a certified apprenticeship program with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in the contract foodservice industry, particularly in premium services, catering, and concessions within a sports and entertainment venue.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer and client service with demonstrated initiative, leadership, and management capabilities.
  • Customer service-oriented with the ability to engage with all levels of management.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours due to business needs, including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Possesses a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership abilities.

• Must remain calm in stressful situations.

• Must maintain a positive demeanor and consistently provide excellent guest service.

• Capable of making generalizations, evaluations, and decisions independently.

• Accepts and executes responsibilities as directed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Willingness to work hours that vary according to event schedules.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
