About the Role

The Executive Chef is a key member of the Levy team, responsible for leading the culinary operations at our Parkside Market/Downtown Disney location. As a seasoned food and beverage leader, you will be responsible for setting menu standards, training team members, and representing Levy on social media.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively coach and motivate team members to deliver exceptional results
  • Identify opportunities to drive improvements in food and financial performance
  • Oversee all aspects of a safe and sanitary culinary department
  • Work closely with purchasing and finance teams to develop menus that meet financial and guest expectations
  • Build and develop the on-site culinary team
  • Collaborate with regional and home office culinary teams to evolve the food experience for guests
  • Support revenue growth by participating in social media activities
  • Oversee equipment maintenance routines
  • Ensure par levels are maintained in line with sales forecasts
  • Manage team member schedules in line with revenue forecasts
  • Oversee menu design and updates in line with food trends and internal data
  • Creation of menu build diagrams
  • Maintenance of recipe specifications
  • Oversee routine kitchen management procedures
  • Creation of customized group sales/event menus
  • Set standards for chef table setups
  • Creation of prep sheets and line layout diagrams
  • Deliver training and coaching to team members on menu and culinary skills
  • Manage team member breaks to ensure well-being
  • Attend location management team meetings to maintain collaboration with other departments
  • Deliver pre-shift meetings to set tone for events
  • Conduct progressive discipline with team members to address performance issues
  • Complete onboarding and orientation for new culinary team members
  • Ensure all elements of food ordering, delivery, prep, transportation, and service meet Levy's sanitation and safety standards
  • Respond to communication in a timely manner
  • Ensure calorific analysis is carried out on all menu items
  • Partner with purchasing and operations teams to identify and prevent loss of product
  • Partner with other departments and regional team on community outreach programs
  • Manage support travel by team members for other locations
  • Manage culinary department budget

Requirements

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a culinary leadership position
  • Ability to taste and evaluate food and beverage products
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Understanding of financial concepts
  • Passion for hospitality, food, and retail
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in social media preferred
