Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior SOC Chief to lead our Security Operations Center (SOC). The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive security strategy, managing a team of security professionals, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality security services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive security strategy that aligns with ECS's business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of security professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure the team's success.
  • Incident Response: Develop and implement incident response plans, procedures, and playbooks to ensure timely and effective response to security incidents.
  • Security Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the SOC, ensuring the delivery of high-quality security services to our clients.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, and identify and mitigate security risks to ECS and its clients.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 8+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in information security.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Certifications: CISSP, CompTIA Network + and Security +, CEH, CSIH, and other relevant certifications.
  • Skills: Problem-solving skills, customer service orientation, knowledge of cloud infrastructure, log analysis, forensic investigation, and diverse security technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in large federal agencies: Past experience in SOC/CIRT operations in large federal agencies, familiarity with NIST guidelines, and Azure/AWS cloud environments.
  • Security expertise: Knowledge of security threats, TCP/IP networking, firewall technologies, IDS/IPS, and operating systems.
