Position Summary:

This role is an intermediate level position designed for individuals who have mastered all functions within the Teller Department. The candidate will be cross-trained in both backroom and vault teller operations at various branches. Effective and efficient customer interaction is essential, with minimal oversight from the Branch Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and clients.
  • Exhibit a high level of interpersonal skills to positively represent the bank during customer transactions.
  • Maintain a friendly and cheerful demeanor while engaging with customers throughout the day.
  • Be proficient in all aspects of teller responsibilities.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of teller terminal transactions and necessary corrections.
  • Have detailed knowledge of backroom teller balancing and remittance processes.
  • Understand all procedures related to vault teller operations.
  • Assist fellow tellers in balancing daily transactions as needed.
  • Support the opening and closing procedures of the branch.
  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct and internal controls relevant to this position.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and the Community Reinvestment Act, while following the bank's internal policies and risk management protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required.
  • Detail-oriented with a comprehensive understanding of the Teller Department.
  • Possess strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff and customers.
  • Demonstrate leadership and organizational abilities, with the capacity to analyze situations accurately and respond quickly.

  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position.
  • Occasionally move around the office to access files and equipment.

  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
