Position Summary:

This role is designed for individuals who have a solid understanding of the Teller Department and can efficiently manage various teller functions. The position requires minimal supervision and involves direct interaction with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with customers and colleagues.
  • Exhibit a high level of interpersonal skills to positively represent the bank during customer transactions.
  • Maintain a friendly and cheerful demeanor while interacting with customers throughout the day.
  • Be proficient in all aspects of teller responsibilities.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of teller terminal transactions and necessary corrections.
  • Have detailed knowledge of backroom teller balancing and remittance processes.
  • Understand and apply Vault Teller procedures.
  • Assist fellow tellers in balancing daily transactions as needed.
  • Support the opening and closing processes of the branch.
  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct and internal controls relevant to this position.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and the Community Reinvestment Act, while following the bank's internal policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is necessary.
  • Detail-oriented with a comprehensive understanding of the Teller Department.
  • Possess strong communication skills to interact effectively with both customers and staff.
  • Demonstrate leadership and organizational abilities, with a capacity for quick and accurate analysis.

  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position.
  • Occasionally move about the office to access file cabinets and office machinery.
