Position Summary:
This role is an intermediate level position designed for individuals who are skilled in all areas of the Teller Department. The candidate will be cross-trained to handle backroom and vault teller responsibilities across various branches. The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective customer service skills and work independently with minimal oversight from the Branch Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit exceptional communication abilities to engage with both customers and colleagues.
- Maintain a high level of interpersonal skills to positively represent the bank during customer transactions.
- Demonstrate empathy and maintain a friendly demeanor throughout daily interactions.
- Show proficiency in all teller functions and operations.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of teller terminal transactions and necessary corrections.
- Understand all backroom balancing and remittance processes thoroughly.
- Have complete knowledge of vault teller protocols.
- Assist fellow tellers in reconciling daily transactions as needed.
- Support the opening and closing procedures of the branch.
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct and internal controls relevant to this position.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and the Community Reinvestment Act, while following the bank's internal policies and risk management guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Detail-oriented with a comprehensive understanding of the Teller Department.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees and customers.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to analyze situations accurately and respond quickly.

- Occasionally move around the office to access files and equipment.
- Frequently operate a computer and other office machinery.
- May need to lift and/or move items weighing up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
