Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Professional to join our team at Express Employment Professionals. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our production equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair production equipment to maximize operating performance and assist with maintaining electrical spare parts' inventory levels
  • Perform repairs on equipment to restore them to proper and safe work conditions
  • Install, set up, modify, and relocate equipment to accommodate or improve production requirements
  • Read and write electrical and electronic schematics/diagrams, basic hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams
  • Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
  • Ensure the production schedule is not jeopardized due to machine breakdown or unsafe operating conditions and inform the Maintenance Manager about changes in electric circuits and update original diagrams
  • Follow the LOCK OUT/ TAG OUT procedure on unsafe machines/machines being serviced
  • Adhere to work orders, preventive/predictive maintenance systems by filling in required forms and organize the workplace to comply with housekeeping requirements
  • Perform preventative/predictive maintenance to all production equipment as required
  • Complete electrical and mechanical projects based on direction given from the Maintenance Supervisor as required by government regulation
  • Demonstrate safe work practices and follow company safety policies, procedures, and regulations at all times
  • Initiate and complete all other jobs, projects, and special assignments as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and recommend measures to improve health and safety
  • Repair and replace electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic and electronic components such as motors, contactors, relays, timers, types of switches, PLCs, light curtains, motor controls, and valves
Requirements
  • Able to read wiring diagrams, electrical/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics, and ladder/function block logic
  • Working knowledge of industrial PCs and PLCs (Siemens Step 7, Beckhoff TwinCat, etc.) and electric circuitry consisting of contactors, relays, main voltage/control voltage, limit switches, and proximity sensors
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
