Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment to maximize operating performance and minimize downtime.
- Conduct electrical and mechanical inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to complete electrical and mechanical projects, including installation, setup, modification, and relocation of equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics, diagrams, and blueprints to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, including LOCK OUT/ TAG OUT procedures.
- Adhere to work orders and preventive/predictive maintenance systems by filling in required forms and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Perform preventive/predictive maintenance on all production equipment as required.
- Complete electrical and mechanical projects based on direction given from the Maintenance Supervisor as required by government regulation.
- Demonstrate safe work practices and follow company safety policies, procedures, and regulations at all times.
- Initiate and complete all other jobs, projects, and special assignments as directed by Maintenance Supervisor.
- Maintain compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and recommend measures to improve health and safety.
- Repair and replace electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic and electronic components such as motors, contactors, relays, timers, types of switches, PLCs, light curtains, motor controls, and valves.
- At least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial environment with multiple priorities.
- A certificate from a technical trade school, Military experience in lieu of or related subject.
- High School diploma/GED preferred.
