Position Summary:
  • As a Senior Engineer in Systems Architecture (Packet Core) based in Bellevue, WA, you will be instrumental in developing and refining technical network and service architectures. Your role will involve designing strategies to enhance T-Mobile's technology portfolio and creating detailed schematics for network and service architecture, including hardware and software selections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and interpretations of network simulations and cutting-edge technology studies.
- Utilize technical documentation and presentation skills to convey complex concepts to stakeholders and management.
- Plan, design, and develop advanced network technologies, translating customer requirements into high-complexity project designs.
- Manage timelines and vendor roadmaps to ensure T-Mobile's needs are met and address any development gaps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle, including mobile data services and various network platforms.
- Assess new and existing technology options to align with business objectives.
- Lead initiatives for network trials and proofs of concept.
- Strive to enhance designs, processes, and products by promoting standards-based technology solutions and improving efficiency.
- Work with product design and business development teams to create detailed network design documents.

Skills Required:
- Proficient in the end-to-end flow of GSM/UMTS, LTE, and 3GPP standards.
- Experience with mobile EPC core network nodes, including MME, SGW, PGW, and PCRF.
- Familiarity with application protocols in mobile packet core, such as NAS, S1AP, GTP, and Diameter.
- Knowledge of IP network protocol stacks, including TCP, UDP, and DNS.
- Ability to develop design documents, perform network integration, and optimize mobile data networks.
- Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams and vendors to create scalable network designs.

Experience and Education Requirements:
Primary Requirements:
- Master's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related field, or its foreign equivalent, with 3 years of relevant experience.

Alternative Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related field, or its foreign equivalent, with 5 years of relevant experience.

Work Hours:
40 hours/week

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is between $162,655.58 and $176,100.00 per year, depending on various factors such as qualifications and experience.
