This role for Senior Engineers, Systems Architecture (Packet Core) based in Bellevue, WA involves the development and enhancement of technical network and service architectures. You will design strategies to maintain and evolve T-Mobile's technology portfolio, creating and adapting detailed schematics of network and service architecture, hardware, software selections, and implementation processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct evaluations and interpretations of network simulations, test results, and cutting-edge technology studies.
  • Utilize technical documentation and presentation skills to convey complex concepts to stakeholders and management.
  • Design and develop advanced network technologies by translating customer requirements into final product designs for complex projects.
  • Manage timelines and vendor roadmaps to ensure T-Mobile's requirements are met and development gaps are addressed.
  • Support cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle, including mobile data services and various network platforms.
  • Assess new and existing technology options that align with business objectives.
  • Lead initiatives for network trials and proofs of concept.
  • Drive improvements in designs, processes, and products to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with product design and business development teams to create detailed network design documents.
Work Arrangement:
Telecommuting is permitted, but candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance.

Required Skills:
  • Expertise in the end-to-end flow of GSM/UMTS, LTE, and 3GPP standards.
  • Experience with mobile EPC core network nodes, including MME, SGW, PGW, and related technologies.
  • Proficiency in application protocols within mobile packet core.
  • Strong understanding of IP network protocol stacks.
  • Ability to develop design documents, perform network integration, and optimize mobile data networks.
  • Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams and vendors to create scalable network designs.

Education and Experience:
PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related field, with 3 years of relevant experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related field, with 5 years of relevant experience.

Work Hours:
40 hours/week

Compensation:
Washington Pay Range: $162,655.58 to $176,100.00/year. Actual pay will be based on various factors, including work location, qualifications, and experience.
