Position Overview
Are you prepared to be part of the Un-carrier initiative? The Principal Architect, Systems plays a pivotal role, acting as a strategist, designer, analyst, customer advocate, and influential leader across both business and technology sectors.
This dynamic professional excels in fostering collaborative relationships and is crucial in steering the execution of T-Mobile's Procurement and Supply Chain operations.
- IT priorities include essential processes such as Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Device Lifecycle Management, Reference Data, and Inventory Management. Familiarity with ERP applications, particularly Oracle and SAP, is highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design innovative and scalable systems and software solutions that address business and technical challenges.
- Establish and uphold architecture and technology standards for applications, middleware, and databases, covering both in-house and third-party applications.
- Guide and mentor project teams to ensure adherence to established standards and best practices.
- Assess and recommend technologies and methodologies for their relevance to T-Mobile systems.
Prior experience with APIs, Microservices, databases, and digital architecture is essential. As the principal steward of these critical components, the Principal Architect, Systems is entrusted with the ultimate accountability and ownership to develop exceptional solutions.
This role will collaborate closely with leadership, fellow Principal Architects, and development teams to advance and implement the Platform Strategy.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Comprehend business processes for assigned projects and deliver technology-architectural solutions, roadmaps, proofs of concept, and an architectural catalog.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and assist team members in executing the solutions.
- Provide direct technical assessments of third-party products for integration into T-Mobile solutions.
- Help define software development processes concerning ERP evaluation and integration.
- Act as a technical resource for business teams to define, estimate, and recommend optimized solutions for business opportunities.
- Develop proofs of concept and prototypes to illustrate approaches to technology and business challenges.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to outline the service delivery landscape.
- Present solutions to clients, project teams, and partners, adapting communication styles for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Mentor team members on standard processes and identify training opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
- Stay updated on industry knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, and participation in professional organizations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Technology certifications (such as Java, Microsoft, Oracle) are advantageous.
Experience:
- 7-10 years of experience as a software or systems architect specializing in ERP solutions with APIs, Kubernetes, Microservices, event-driven frameworks, databases, and digital architecture, with a focus on cybersecurity.
- 4-7 years of experience in Supply Chain Domain architecture and design, preferably with a background in Oracle Supply Chain Suite.
- Experience with third-party system integrations.
- 4-7 years of experience in web experience management technologies, including self-service, search, analytics, and marketing automation, preferably with knowledge of AI/ML solutions.
- 4-7 years of experience in the architecture and design of mobile web applications, including responsive design and hybrid models for device-native applications.
- Exposure to legacy technologies, payment systems, EDI, and SOAP services.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Team leadership experience is required.
Base Pay Range:
$123,800 - $223,300
Corporate Bonus Target: 20%
The pay range above represents the general base pay range for a successful candidate in this role. Actual pay will depend on various factors, including work location, qualifications, and experience.
